Building a safe Community

The goal of this program is to help parents recognize warning signs of human trafficking, and to provide suggestions for preventing their children from becoming victims. For example, there has been a disturbing trend across the nation to invite the "less-popular" kids to parties as a way to recruit them into the sex industry.

The program featured presentations from three national speakers, followed by discussion with a panel of experts. The program was also filmed for Public Television and will be used for on-going outreach and programing. You can watch the video below.

We partnered with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), the Spring Lake Park School (SLP) system, and many community organizations. All the organizations had resource tables for parents to learn more.
